Sarah Matthews Flowers and Styling, based on the beautiful Isle of Wight, offer luxury wedding and event styling services. We are here to make your celebration look better than your wildest dreams! We love nothing more than bringing your vision to life for your life for your wedding day or special event, letting you enjoy every moment whilst we do the work for you.

We are the only company on the Isle of Wight to offer full in-house floristy & styling services for your wedding or event!

Our main objective is to collaborate with our clients to create unique event styling tailored to your personal story…

Sarah and Jodie, ‘the ladies who laugh’, are passionate about what they do. They met when Jodie became engaged to her now husband, Paul. Sarah was the couple’s wedding florist and having worked closely together to style the event they realised how well they collaborated. Bouncing off one another’s ideas, fresh thinking and continuous laughter, they formed a fabulous friendship and decided to expand the already established Sarah Matthews brand and go on an exciting adventure together in the wedding and events industry.

Sarah Matthews

FLORIST / STYLIST

 For as long as Sarah can remember, she always had a love for flowers and gardens…She has strong memories of her Dad growing sweet peas and pretty peonies and her Nan caring for her beloved roses which Sarah would make perfume.

Sarah was an art student at university studying graphic design, she had a weekend job in a garden centre and quickly realised that her passion lied in floristry. She joined a local florist to train with and has never looked back! Shortly after, Sarah was offered an amazing opportunity to extend her career as an exhibition florist for the NEC Group. Based at the International Convention Centre in Birmingham, Sarah produced designs for many large scale corporate events.

 Sarah is inspired by colours and textures and loves to be out in the beauty of nature. Although born a city girl, Sarah has always been a country girl at heart! When Sarah’s daughter was born, a change of lifestyle beckoned and they found themselves on the wonderful Isle of Wight! Sarah is now a proud mum to a grown up daughter and loves her island life with her two gorgeous dogs and plenty of tea and cake!

Jodie has always had a strong passion for wedding design and event styling, coming from a family of graphic designers; she has continued the family trend and extended her knowledge and experience over the years to be where she is today. Styling weddings and events locally and also further afield, Jodie is head over heels in love with her career as a venue stylist and loves nothing more than making an empty room come to life!

Like Sarah, Jodie has unforgettable childhood memories of her father tending to the garden in his spare time, the smell of the roses, pinks and lavender is something she will never forget. She would watch her grandmother in awe as she grew perfect Dahlias and simple cut flowers, placed in a glass vase looking nothing short of stunning. These special memories have always inspired Jodie to create a career that combines her two loves, design and flowers.

Jodie and her husband Paul, relocated from West Sussex to the Isle of Wight to be closer to family a few years ago. They now live in a little chocolate box thatch cottage, with their two dogs and three cats, a garden full of blooms and they couldn’t be happier! Jodie and Paul married on the Isle of Wight shortly after they moved, they had a beautiful celebration at Appuldurcombe House in 2018, and as you have probably guessed… Jodie relished in planning and styling every detail of such a stunning venue for her very own wedding!
